2024 Local Government elections...
Women lead the charge for the Eurobodalla Greens at this September’s Council elections.

The Greens team consists of Colleen Turner, Joslyn van der Moolen,
Charlie Bell and Niall O’Donnell.

Announcing the team for the 2024 Eurobodalla Shire Council elections, The Greens' lead candidate Colleen Turner says the team's main focus for the September elections will be housing.

"We’re seeking community input to find solutions for this critical issue. 'Healthy, Happy & Housed' is our campaign slogan because that’s what The Greens believe every Australian deserves.”

This team of candidates brings the talent and capability to build on the excellent work of Councillor Alison Worthington over the past three years. Stay tuned to learn more about our 2024 campaign.

My aim in standing for Council is to contribute to the Eurobodalla community by understanding and representing the diverse views of the community from the north to the south of our widespread shire. I will work to earn your support and commit to protect and enhance the natural beauty and amazing biodiversity of our beaches and forests for the benefit of us all as part of a sustainable economy.

I want us to build on the work of past Greens Councillors to implement Greens policies to protect our native flora and fauna, and to make Eurobodalla a more compassionate and sustainable Shire. In Eurobodalla we need better development planning to maintain more tree cover, provide better walking and cycling pathways, and to improve affordable housing options.

As Secretary of Coastwatchers I aim to use my extensive land management experience to support Eurobodalla Council. I am committed to ending native forest logging and ensuring tourism remains the main economic driver on our beautiful south coast.

Since the Black Summer fires I have been working with the Eurobodalla rural community implementing bushfire recovery projects.

I'm an Emergency Room registered nurse and witness on a daily basis the profound health effects and trauma of rapidly accelerating climate change on our community. I'm proud to be a member of our local community, and am prepared to 'walk the talk' in restoring and protecting our magnificent South Coast beaches and forests.
